Millennium 2000 is based on the design of the Millennium. In fact, with the exception of the control circuitry and the fact that the source IR controller is now an external component (IRL-3000), the two units are nearly identical. It is therefore possible, for existing Millennium owners to upgrade their standard Millennium's to Millennium 2000.

Millennium 2000, unlike the Millennium, employs ADA's CAT-Link technology, permitting its controls to run on standard Cat. 5 control cable. As many of today's homes are being pre-wired with Cat. 5, this makes the Millennium 2000 an exciting after-the-fact whole-house entertainment option.
Millennium 2000 can be controlled from either the MC-2000 Keypad, the MC-3000 OD All-Weather Outdoor Control, the MC-3000 & MC-3800, the MC-5000 Rapture Keypad or the TS-2000 Touch Screen. These controls feature numeric direct access buttons, seven transport functions, and a Party button (turns on several zones from any one location). These controls all wire to a single location and connect to ADA's CAT-Link termination block, the WH-2000 Wiring Harness.
The WH-2000 also features ADA Bus termination connectors, permitting the Millennium 2000 to easily integrate with ADA's MT-3000 or Trinity Triple Tuners, CD Library Systems, and third party Control Systems such as AMX, Crestron, or Phast.
While more advanced ADA Systems; such as the Delta, Omega, and 8000, offer full control and status feedback, the Millennium 2000 offers the same level of control, minus the feedback. However, if you are using the TS-2000 Touch Screen, you can still get status feedback from ADA Tuners and Escient CD Library systems, just like the more advanced systems.
