The MC-3800 ADA Bus Keypad

For Systems Delta, Omega & 8000

The MC-3800 Keypad is one of ADA's most advanced system controllers. It operates on the ADA Bus and as such, can be used with any ADA Bus System. These include the Delta System, System Omega, and System 8000. The MC-3800 can also be used to control any one of ADA's home theater surround sound systems. This versatility is common among all ADA Bus controls including the MC-3000, MC-3000 OD, and MC-3011, and MC-0038.

The MC-3800 includes a twelve character alpha-numeric display which will show system status feedback, all in plain English. Since an ADA Bus system is commonly integrated with several ADA Bus devices, as well as sub-systems by other manufacturers, not only will the keypad indicate the room name and the component currently in play, it can also display tuner stations when using ADA's MT-3000 Multi-Tuner, Component Function Commands when using ADA's PCT-8 Source Controller, CD's when using a CD library system, or surround sound information when using ADA's SSD-66 (Pro Logic, THX or AC-3_DTS) Surround Sound Decoders.

As with all multi-zone ADA keypads, the MC-3800 permits the direct selection of anyone of eight source components. Once the component has been chosen, you can control the seven standard ADA Bus functions including: <<, <, >, >>, Pause, & Stop. The seventh function is accessed by pressing the component button after it has been selected. This function is usually: Tuner Preset Skip, Disc Skip, and power on for laster disc players, VCRs, DVDs, and Cassette players. The MC-3800 also permits you to directly access channel numbers, tuner staion, discs and tracks, by using the numeric portion of the keypad. The beauty in controlling your components lies in the keypad's ability to know what device you are listening to. Thus, as you change components, the transport funciton buttons will now control the newly selected device. Furthermore, as you access a particular function, the keypad's display will indicate the name of the function ie, PLAY, STOP, etc.
