The MC-1111 Music Control
The Genesis System offers several types of keypad styles, permitting
you to customize the system to suit your specific life-style. The MC-1111
is the most basic of all the Genesis System Keypads and is typically installed
with a rotary volume control. The MC-1111, pictured below, is only the four
button keypad. Volume controls are not manufactured by ADA, but are readily
available from several volume control manufacturers. The MC-1111 fits a
single gang wall box and when used with a volume control, requires a two-gang
wall box. Please note, you can opt to locate the MC-1111 away from the volume
control.
To turn the system on, just press the button for the component you wish
to listen to. For example, pressing the FM button once, turns on the Genesis,
the speakers for the room you are in, provides power to the FM radio tuner,
and sends the FM tuner a power on IR command. Within moments, you are listening
to music. All other rooms will remain off, unaffected by your selection.
As you proceed to other rooms, you will notice their keypad's FM button
lit. This indicates that someone is already listening to the FM tuner. By
just pressing the FM button, that room too, is listening to the radio.
If you don't like the station, tap the FM button once. The FM tuner will
advance to the next station preset. If you would rather simply tune up the
dial, press and hold the FM button and the tuner will begin to tune up.
To turn off the room you are in, press the Room Off button. Only the room
you are in will turn off. When the day is done, press and hold any keypad's
Room Off button and the entire system will reset to off.
