The MC-11.5 Music Control

The Genesis System offers several types of keypad styles, permitting you to customize the system to suit your specific life-style. One of the most elegant styles is the MC-11.5. Instead of using a rotary type volume control, the MC-11.5 uses the ZS-3 Zone Splitter as a volume control. The ZS-3 is a small "black box" which is installed behind the equipment rack. You will never see it or need to worry about it. Once installed, the MC-11.5 Keypad wires to the ZS-3 and the ZS-3 is wired to the Genesis. The rest is simply magic. To adjust volume, simply press the Volume Up or Down buttons. Its that easy. The MC-11.5 is also the only Genesis System Keypad that has an IR Receiver. In that, it is the only control that permits you to operate a Genesis room using the wireless MC-0011 Hand-Held IR Remote Control.

To turn the system on, just press the button for the component you wish to listen to. For example, pressing the CD button once, turns on the Genesis, the speakers for the room you are in, provides power to the CD player, and sends the CD player an IR "Play" command to engage play. Within moments, you are listening to music. All other rooms will remain off, unaffected by your selection. As you proceed to other rooms, you will notice their keypad's CD button lit. This indicates that someone is already listening to the CD player. By just pressing the CD button, that room too, is listening to the CD player.

If you don't like the song, tap the CD button once. The CD player will advance to the next song in seconds. If you are tired of a particular album, press and hold the CD button. The CD player will automatically skip to the next Disc.

To turn off the room you are in, press the Room Off button. Only the room you are in will turn off. When the day is done, press and hold any keypad's Room Off button and the entire system will reset to off.
