Intended to the "the last surround processor you will ever buy," the ADA Cinema Reference includes Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Digital, and DTS decoding. It's the first processor to offer complete THX enhancements in all three modes, including DTS. Its extensive connections include 17 audio inputs (eight analog, four digital coax, three TosLink, two AC-3 RF), two component video inputs (!), four S-video inputs, and eight composite-video inputs.
Other notable features include multiple bass filters and delays for all channels, automatic mode detection, and a six channel LED vectorscope display. The bidirectional I remote - called "The Thing" - is equally sophisticated, including an onboard microphone that allows automatic calibration. The unit also features an ADA Bus control port for use with external control systems.
