About
Audio Design Associates (ADA)

Audio Design Associates, Inc., has been designing and manufacturing home entertainment systems for over 20 years. In that time, ADA has built a rich history and is among the oldest of modern conusmer electronics providers. Considered the "Pioneers of Custom Installation", ADA's heritage is carved out of the pages of an American success story. To permit you the freedom to look into our past, present, and future, please select from one of the following options.

To 1977-82 From 1977 to 1982, ADA established the foundation for its multi-room system architecture. Titled "Radio Days", this section deals with a time in which the most frequently used multi-room audio component was the FM radio tuner. In fact, one of ADA's first system components, the FM-600, was an FM radio tuner with a digital readout, which could scan presets from any room's keypad. Tuner presets, while a common tuner feature today, was far from an option way back when. Since ADA Systems circa 1977 could permit you change radio stations, it was up to ADA to provide a tuner which would operate in that manner. "Innovation"...that's ADA.

To 1983-87 While today's favorite multi-room audio component is the compact disc player (CD), back in the early days, you would typically find a phonograph, 8-track tape player, reel-to-reel, or cassette player in the system. The beauty behind ADA's System architecture, even for ADA's first systems, lies in its ability to have the latest technologies added to it at any time. That is why today, many early ADA Systems already include CD players, DSS receivers, and many other current technologies. "Obsolecense-Free"...that's ADA.

To 1988-92 The late 80's brought more than just music into the home as a form of playback entertainment. Video, by way of the VCR (Video Cassesste Recorder) made it possible to play motion pictures, without commercial interuption, at any time. While the VCR and its home video partner, the laser disc player (LDV), have brought Hollywood home, this era, also saw the emergence of movie-theater like sound for the home. For ADA, the late 80's and early 90's represented a time in which its multi-room products included video distribution. Also, this time period saw ADA emerging as a key developer of home theater products as well as creators of system integration software. "Technology Pioneers"...that's ADA.

To 1993-97 The past five years have been the most dramatic for ADA. While it has always enjoyed the status as the world's leader in custom installed multi-room systems, this time period saw ADA emerge as one of the leading hardware developers of digital home theater products. Currently, ADA has set industry standards for its incorporation of Lucasfilm Home THX decoding and amplification, Dolby Pro Logic and Dolby Digital (AC-3) decoding, as well as DTS decoding. Over the past five years, home theater has evolved into the staple of what was once home audio and ADA has led the field. "The 'T' in Technology stands for Time"...that's ADA.

To 1998-2002 While others attempt to predict what the future will bear, ADA has the vantage point of creating the future. ADA has introduced all-in-one solutions at more affordable prices without compromising ADA known quality and longevity. What can you expect to see from ADA as we enter the next Millennium...better products at more competitive prices. Many of our "2000 Goals" are already in place including the Genesis and Millennium multi-room systems. And since one of ADA's mission statements is the "seamless integration of all technologies", ADA is best poised to make certain your investment can be shaped to your ever-changing life-style. "System Architecture"...that's ADA.
